Welcome to the Gibson School of Music and Arts!
The Gibson School of Music and Arts (GSMS) was founded in 1995 by Professor Randy J. Gibson, a veteran who taught for over 17 years in colleges, universities, and other music schools. Over the past 27 years, we have taught over 15,000 students in music and arts in the Philadelphia and surrounding area and have the capacity to reach well over 20,000 students. Some of our students have received community awards, achieved socially, educationally, and professionally as a result of attending classes at GSMS.

We Teach Young Children and Adults
We teach individuals of all ages from young children to adults. Our school offers a place where virtually every instrument and every nationality is taught excellence in musicianship and life through the discipline of instruction by some of the finest teachers in the world.
Any Skill Level Is Welcome
We teach both beginners and professionals. Whether you're just getting started or trying to build your career as an artist, we're here to help. We offer private lessons and classes in virtually every music instrument, voice, drama, dance, and art.
We Offer Discipline
Our music courses and advanced instruction can help teach discipline with our enrolled students. By having our students go through both rigorous and professional instruction and having to have them memorize certain pieces of music, it inevitably will help teach their brain to be patient and to have more discipline when it comes to learning!
We Teach Character
We have world-class instructors which do their best to not only teach the kids how to perform music and arts, but to become role models for others. We encourage our students to have good character, discernment, and self-awareness. By doing so, we can ensure that students don't only grow in their performance but in their behavior and attitude as well!
We Offer Flexible Active Learning
Learning music through the Gibson School of Music and Arts and having to adapt to the current situation (which meant going online for us), works both hemispheres of the brain. In doing so, we're able to help your kids learn how to perform better not only in music, but other scholastic subjects as well such as math and science!
We Raise The Bar
We work to make the Gibson School of Music and Arts an excellent place where people of all ages can come and learn music, dance, voice, art and drama. We're not just looking to develop individuals so that they can perform better, but seek to help educate them as a whole person whether it be socioeconomically or in the aesthetics of the arts. Our students aim to achieve the success that sets them apart from other musicians and recognize how much they have learned about themselves and the world that surrounds them. Our award-winning students include Grammy Award winners James Poyser (producer) and Jimmy Gray!

We will end with a reception for all of the students, parents, instructors and staff. This event is free and open to the public but seating and capacity is limited.
